Marcos Guerrero
Marcos Respicio Guerrero, 90, of Honokaa, died Feb. 8 at home. Born in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, the Philippines, he was a self-employed farmer and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church member.
Friends may call from 8 to 11 a.m. March 10 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa, where a Mass begins at 11 a.m., followed by cremation. Final urn committal services will occur in the Philippines at a later date. The family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.
He is survived by daughters, Ruth (Melchor) dela Cruz, of the Philippines, Josie (Henry) Agdinaoay, of Honokaa, Olivia Tomas Guerrero, of the Philippines; sons, Henry (Lita) Guerrero, of the Philippines, Teddy (Clarita) Guerrero, of Kohala, Romeo (Bless) Guerrero, of the Philippines; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Reidun LaFleur
Reidun Bruteig LaFleur, 68, of Volcano, died March 1 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Norway, she was a retired registered nurse, member of New Hope Christian Fellowship in Volcano and Daughters of God Praise Hula Group.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. March 6 at New Hope Christian Fellowship in Volcano for a 10 a.m. celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn.
She is survived by husband, John LaFleur, of Volcano; daughter, Reidun LaFleur, of Volcano; sons, John (Amy) LaFleur Jr., of Hayden, Idaho, Frank (Makiko) LaFleur, of California; mother, Petra Bruteig, of Norway; sister, Inga Bruteig, of Norway; brothers, Magne (Marianne) Bruteig, John Bruteig, both of Norway; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Shigeko Chang
Shigeko “Shigi” Izumo Chang, 88, of Kailua-Kona, died Feb. 24 at Life Care Center of Kona. Born March 19, 1923, in Hilo, she was a retired public health nurse, retired Hilo Hospital Home Health Services director and Hospice of Hilo executive director. She was also a board member for the Office of Aging and a volunteer for many community organizations.
No services are planned.
She is survived by sons, Larry (Paulette) Chang, of Holualoa, Paul (Pat) Chang, of Kailua-Kona; brothers, Tsutomo (Carolyn) Izumo, Hiromu (Patsy) Izumo, all of Honolulu, Takashi (Helen) Izumo, of Hilo; three grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Dolores Domen
Dolores V. Domen, 69, of Pahoa, formerly of Waianae, Oahu, died Jan. 14 at her residence. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired direct support worker for Waianae Coast Community Mental Health Center.
A celebration of her life will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. March 10 at the Pohoiki Beach Park. The family requests casual attire be worn.
She is survived by daughter, Ronnette (Peter) Gonsalves, of Florida; sons, Robert Domen, of Hilo, Pa’u Domen, of Hilo; father, James (Conchita) McBruan, of Oahu; brothers, James McBraun, of Honolulu, Henry McBraun, of Honolulu, Jacob McBraun, of Honolulu; sisters, Elizabeth Quon, of Hilo, Carmen (Vi) Pita, of Honolulu; 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

James Akiona Sr.
James “Jimmy” “PiWai” Akiona Sr., 85, of Kailua-Kona, died Feb. 19 at his residence. Born Jan. 19, 1927, in Hilo, he was a retired Hilo Electric Light Co. linesman supervisor, fisherman, rancher and Kai O Pua Canoe Club honorary member. He was also member of the Aged Hawaiians, Wee Guys and Kona Iki Trollers.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. March 17 at Makolea, the former Kona Lagoon Hotel location in Kahaluu. A 10 a.m. service will be held, followed by a luncheon. The family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers and lei are welcome.

Ichiro “Rick” Awa, 79, of Hilo, died March 1 at his residence. Born Aug. 21, 1932, in Hilo, he was a retired Army sergeant and retired mechanic from Jack’s Tours Co. in Hilo.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. March 9 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 for a graveside committal service and burial. Family requests casual attire be worn and flowers be omitted.

Adelaide “Addie” Medeiros Costa-Strunk, 79, of Hilo, died Feb. 27 at Hilo Medical Center. Born April 22, 1932, in Pepeekeo, she was a retired housekeeper and St. Joseph Catholic Church member.
Friends may call March 9 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, where visitation will take place from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and Mass begins at 10:30 a.m. Burial will occur at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. The family requests casual attire be worn.

Timothy Alencastre
Timothy Paul Alencastre, 52, of Volcano, formerly of Kailua, Oahu, died Feb. 6 at Halape, Ka’u. Born Dec. 2, 1959, in Lihue, Kauai, he was a Hawaii Army National Guard master sergeant and an aircraft mechanic supervisor for the Army Aviation Support Facility No. 2.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. March 10 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for an 11 a.m. service. Scattering of ashes will take place at 1 p.m. March 12 at Kailua Bay, Oahu. The family requests aloha attire be worn and lei are welcome.
